1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together 2 sticks of softened butter, ½ cup of granulated sugar, 1 ½ cups of packed brown sugar, 2 eggs, and 2 ½ teaspoons of vanilla extract.

4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients.

5. Stir in one twelve-ounce bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and half a twelve-ounce bag of milk chocolate chips.

6. Scoop out cookie dough with a spoon and form golf ball-sized portions with your hands.  Place dough balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

7. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes or just until edges are light brown (Cooking times vary by oven).

8. Let cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
